Introducing Samsung 8K UHD 85-Inch TV

0Share

Why watch TV in 4K when you could quadruple that? The new Samsung Q900 series features 8K UHD resolution (7680 x 4320), which doubles both the horizontal and vertical lines of resolution of 4K UHD TVs, quadrupling the overall number of pixels. Of course, not all content has even transitioned to 4K yet, let alone 8K, but this TV can upscale any incoming signal to 8K UHD for a highly detailed viewing experience. Add HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG HDR compatibility and smart TV functionality, and you've got the formula for a virtually future-proof TV.

When you've got an 85" TV on your wall, you don't want to see all your cables running to and fro, so this TV includes the Samsung One Connect box, which accepts all your signal sources and sends the signal, along with power, directly to the TV, so only one slim cable is run from the box to the TV. And when the TV isn't in use, Ambient Mode enables it to mimic the look of the wall behind it, helping the TV blend into the wall, rather than appearing as a plain black rectangle. Alternatively, Ambient Mode can display news and weather to help you plan your day without having to turn the TV on.
