Bose® Releases New In-Ear Earbuds to Provide a Better Night's Sleep

With the release of its Noise-Masking Sleepbuds, Bose® has applied its audio know-how to help a problem from which millions of people suffer—getting a good night's sleep. Many have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or are unknowingly disturbed while asleep, all of which can affect overall sleep quality negatively. The Bose sleepbuds are specifically designed to produce soothing sounds that match the vocal frequencies of unwanted noises, such as your partner snoring next to you, to help you finally get some rest.

The sleepbuds are in-ear earbuds that work in conjunction with the Bose Sleep app. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices that support Bluetooth Low Energy technology. In the app, you choose one of 10 sounds, the volume level, and how long they will play. You can also customize wake-up alarms that only you'll be able to hear, so you can wake up on time without disturbing your partner.

All 10 sounds have been optimized by Bose to either noise-match sleep-disturbing audio, or for pure relaxation. The list of sounds includes such soothing audio as a crackling campfire, rolling waves, and rustling leaves. Bose plans to release new sounds down the road in future software updates. All 10 of the sounds that you get out of the box come pre-loaded into the sleepbuds themselves. Without having to stream audio, battery life is greatly improved. On a full charge, the sleepbuds can play audio for up to 16 hours.

They may last all night long, but how about comfort? Bose has addressed this with the unique design of each sleepbud. Each one has a pliable fin that conforms to the upper ridge of your ear. Also, three sizes of StayHear+ Sleep tips are included for a more custom and secure fit. Regardless of how you sleep, the noise-masking sleepbuds have been designed to stay comfortably in your ears throughout the night.

When not in use, the Bose sleepbuds can be placed in the included charging case. The case features a magnetic lid to keep them secure and protected while they recharge. The sleepbuds charge fully in up to 8 hours, ready for the next night. The case even has a battery of its own. The built-in battery can provide a full 16-hours' worth of power to your sleepbuds, making them an ideal companion while traveling.
